Paul describes a pretty grim picture of his life in these verses.  He feels hard-pressed, persecuted, and struck down.  Yet there is a hopeful note throughout these  verses.   How would you put into your own words the essence of that positive, hopeful note?  To what extent is a similar hope present in you?
