Lou was instrumental in bringing over Russian style hockey and training to the United States in the late 70’s.

He was a integral part of the 1980 miracle on ice hockey team that won the Gold Medal in Lake Placid NY.

He also served as the head coach & assistant coach of our Olympic & National Teams.

Later in his career he was the assistant coach of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League.
