Today, we will conjugate the verb âto beâ, and we will learn how to express our feelings.Â

2-Â Â To be or not to be:
The verb âĂȘtreâ is not a verb but an âauxiliaryâ (âun auxiliaireâ in French), meaning that it cannot be used alone but it is there to complement a verb, a noun or an adjective.Â
For example:Â

- Je suis (I am â It needs to be followed by what, how, who, etc.)
âŠ. Je suis Marcelle / Je suis une femme / je suis française, etcâŠ..
NOTE: The French language counts two auxiliaries: "ĂȘtreâ (to be) and âavoirâ (to have), but today, we will only concentrate on ĂTRE.
