In a hilarious surprise act at San Francisco's Masonic Auditorium, Dave Chappelle didn't hold back his thoughts on the City by the Bay.

And boy, were they far from flattering.

"What the heck happened to this place?" Chappelle exclaimed to the bewildered crowd.

He went on to tear into the city's homeless crisis, sharing a rather "crappy" incident he witnessed at an Indian restaurant a few nights earlier—apparently, a gentleman decided it was the perfect time and place for a public restroom break. Classy!

San Francisco's Tenderloin District has always had a reputation for homelessness and drug use, but according to Chappelle, the entire city has transformed into a Tenderloin paradise.

He hilariously described San Francisco as a mashup of the TV show "Glee" and a zombie movie, envisioning a city in desperate need of a superhero. "Y'all need a Batman!" he jokingly exclaimed.

Once upon a time, Chappelle considered San Francisco his second home, even using it as his personal ATM when he needed some quick cash during the early days of his career. But alas, it seems his love affair with the city has fizzled out.

And he's not alone.

According to a recent poll by The San Francisco Chronicle, a whopping 70 percent of the city's residents agree that homelessness is among the top three problems plaguing the Bay Area. Ouch!

Homelessness in San Francisco has skyrocketed by 35 percent since 2019, making it the hotspot for wandering souls. With approximately 38,000 individuals homeless on any given night, California seems to be a magnet for the roofless population.

But fear not! Mayor London Breed has unveiled a master plan, backed by a jaw-dropping $600 million proposal, to tackle this pressing issue. Though, where all that money is mysteriously disappearing to is still a question for the ages. It's like the city's own magic trick!
