Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks with reporters on Parliament Hill following a three-day virtual retreat of the federal cabinet. He announces Canada will extend and expand its military training mission (Operation UNIFIER) in Ukraine for three years, send non-lethal equipment, and provide more cybersecurity and intelligence support to Ukraine in response to threats of a Russian invasion. He also announces the provision of up to $50 million for development and humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and federal ministers Anita Anand (defence) and Mélanie Joly (defence) also speak with reporters. The prime minister faces questions as well on the truck convoy that is heading to Ottawa from British Columbia in protest of the federal government's COVID-19 vaccine mandates
