Ye must be born again. Ye must be holy, clean and righteous. Nothing but the righteous shall see God. Have the correct mind. Your mind stayed on him. Resist the devil's temptation.- I Peter 1:15-16 reads-but is he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy. Holy means dedicated or consecrated to God. Holy means being sacred.- You must be clean. I Corinthians 10:20-22 says-but I say, that the things which the Gentliles sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils. Ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of the devils. Do ye provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? Leviticus 10:10 says- you are to distinguish between what is holy and common and between the unclean and the clean.- We are not clean if we take into our bodies the things that are of satan.- Leviticus 20:1-8 describes worshippers of Molech. Molech was a pagan god of the Ammonite peoples just like Baal. Molech was an idol of the Ammonites. The people who worshipped Molech sacrificed their children through fire or war. They are a group of people in which we must not follow.- I Corinthians 10:7-9 reads-neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.- I Corinthians 10:14 says-wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. Idolatry is dangerous. Colossians 3:5-6 reads-put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and coveteousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. Exodus 20:4-5 says-Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. I also would like to read to you the book of Nahum. Nahum 1:1-9 explains the wrath of God.- The wrath of God comes on the idolater because God is jealous. There is a righteous and holy jealousy and an unrighteous and weak and insecure jealousy. And God's jealousy is not only righteous but is, he deserves our deepest and strongest affections and admiration, that is loving. You must resist temptation. Be righteous. James 3 says count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; knowing that this is the trying of your faith. James 3 says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.- Matthew 6:24 reads-no man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.- Make up in your mind and in your heart whom you want to serve. Either be with God or be with the devil.- Romans 8:1-14 explains how we must live on the spirit and not on the flesh.- Ye must be born of the spirit. The things of the Spirit are in Galatians 5. Galatians 5:16-25 reads-This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you
