Welcome to the Dementia Connections Podcast, where each week we share the latest research, expert advice, and stories about living well with dementia.

September is World Alzheimers Awareness Month and we are excited to  shine a light on the transformative power of the arts for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia through a series of brand-new articles all month long.  This week we've got two brand-new articles to share with you.

For our first story we explore the innovative Perspectives program, which was created by the Emily Carr University of Art + Design, to bring seniors and design students together to turn stigma on its head.

Our second story raises the curtain on creativity in life's third act by showcasing a workshop series that uses community-engaged arts practice to explore the lived experience of dementia, inviting participants to share their perspective through varied media — including photography, drawing, painting, puppetry and improv.

As always, you'll find the full articles and the links to related resources at DementiaConnections.ca
