On a trail overblazen by wannabe Bourdain disciples, myself among them, with our YouTube cultural explorations and influencers with master classes on travel, food and how to make a feature movie for $500, I wonder if there is anything to be heard in my story. There's a lot to say mind you. I just wonder if there is anything to be heard. I'll let you decide. This is a podcast about my life and the people I have met along the way. It has been quite an adventure. And now for the next part.  I h...

Moving to Oregon was like moving to another planet

November 17, 2019 04:00 - 23 minutes - 16 MB

I moved to Oregon when I was 20 for what would be the beginning of a lifetime of creating concerts, live music clubs, festivals and bands. You could have never convinced me as I found myself moving from palm trees and sunshine to a small, tree lined farm out in the middle of nowhere. My only real possession, my black Kramer bass with white plumbing tape on the edges. And then...rain....and more rain....and then it really started to rain... Ugh....http://www.mikeebridges.com

Where it all started

November 13, 2019 16:00 - 20 minutes - 14.1 MB

I didn't fit anywhere in 1985 high school. Nerds and geeks were cooler than me. I was something else entirely. I was a Christian youth group kid. But that's not all... I wanted to be in a kick ass rock band. Not good. Back then I got my first taste of both being in a band and promoting a show for others to come to. From then on it would be a drug to me. I would also get my first experience in being at odds with Christians and Church which would prove to be very motivating for me in the futur...
