Welcome back to another episode of Decoding 40. This week Vin starts the check-in with some good news on his ice-cream dreams as he moves closer to building his consumer packaged goods empire.  L spends time with family celebrating his niece's 10th birthday.  Rick and his Ring camera have become the unofficial neighborhood watch. Mack has been bit by the watch bug as he is vigilant about investigating suspicious behaviors in his neighborhood.

Next, we discuss the legislation starting next year, in New York, where 800,000 legal permanent residents will be eligible to vote in municipal elections. Is it a good idea to permit non-naturalized persons to vote? If you work and pay into the system shouldn't you be allowed to determine who is elected? Or, does your privilege end at enjoying the services provided by the city?  In this week’s installment of This Week in Racism, we discuss the bizarre story in Las Vegas where a 23-year old Black man was arrested on a warrant that was issued on a 49-year old white man, with a bushy white beard and blue eyes.
