How will we know what information and news we can trust as the media and information platforms that we use expand and accelerate into uncharted digital territories? This was the topic of the community reporters club conversation this morning, with Roy and Ryan. We considered the nature of media as a social experience, and asked what level of engagement do we need to think about in order to understand our own engagement with media? We’ve got to get prepared for the post-institutional world, in which trust and value come from many directions, including the emotional, as well as the logical and the mythological.
