Google Photos is becoming a paid service. After launching the service 5 years ago, Google Photos is hosting 4 trillions pictures.

Of course the tradeoff was free hosting in exchange for training Google’s Machine Learning / Deep Learning / Artificial Intelligence algorithms.

Now it seems like the training is over or the cost of free hosting became too big.

Whichever the case, this situation is another proof that a company like Google engages in unfair business practices.

Free hosting was the only argument in favour of Google Photos that nobody else could match.

Not only Google killed the game right away, but there are changing their minds.

It’s understandable from a business point of view, but it shows how Google became too big and conducts unfair business practices against the competition.
