According to task force officials, the US has a sufficient supply of tests to meet phase one guidelines. But as Dr. Anthony Fauci explained, there is an issue getting the supply of tests where they’re needed. It does not appear there is sufficient testing capacity nationally to move beyond phase one at this point.
“We've already built sufficient testing capacity nationwide for states to begin their re-openings,” the president said.
