Irene Tsu

Deborah Zara Kobylt talks with Asian-American actress, artist & writer Irene Tsu. Born in Shanghai, China to a
banker father and a painter mother and raised in New York City. Her career spans four decades in most of the
popular TV series (50 titles) and 32 feature films. Irene says: “I've had an enormously colorful life. I grew up
with all the parts I played. I played the daughter, the sweet daughter, the disobedient daughter. I was a secretary,
a nurse, a doctor, a judge, a business woman, a villain. In my real life, I've been a dancer, an actor, a designer, an
artist, an entrepreneur, a realtor, a builder, a wife, and a mother.”
