Life + Art = Chaos, or so says Italian film director, writer, and inventor, Alessio Della Valle, joining us on our
#LittleItalyOfLAPodcast.
Alessio is in Los Angeles to talks about his new film, “American Night,” a favorite at the Venice Film Featival and getting
early Oscar buzz here in Hollywood. In fact, he’s visiting Los Angeles from Florence to discuss his film, a thriller that
explores the dark underworld of pop and modern art.
“American Night” has some extraordinary features, such as an original Warhol “Pink Marilyn,” in addition to a Koenig, and
other extraordinary works of art from around the world. We speak with this gifted director about the artistry of filmmaking,
how he got his start in Italy, and quickly got notice from around the world, particularly in the U.S.
Alessio also about how his Italian upbringing influenced his art, and talks about navigating the world of filmmaking in
Hollywood, which is a very different scene from Italy.
