She is a USC Law educated lawyer/deputy public defender, writer, performer, and podcaster who believes storytelling has the power to change the world. 
With 13 years in the Riverside County Public Defender's office, she has some stories to tell. JEM works with clients with mental health diagnosis, and is always finding creative solutions for the systems criminalization of mental illness and addiction.
