Art of MMA: The Podcast #3 - UFC Fight Island 4, Bellator 247/Europe & look ahead to Fight Island 5

Episode 3? Could it be already? Yes it is and this is a very special episode of Art of MMA: The Podcast! For our very first episode in video (audio version will be available via iTunes later), we pulled out a full cast. UFC Fight Island 4 wasn't the title fest that UFC 253 was but the ladies took over this card and Holly Holm dominated the main event. In the much hyped fight, it was a one sided attack. Was the platform too big for Aldana? Did she just have a bad strategy. We talk about that as well as the reintroduction of Germaine De Randamie in the main event scene. And by submission!

Not to mention the rising stars on UFC Fight Island 4. We talk the rise of Kyler Phillips, Loma Lookboonme, Dusko Todorovic and Nassourdine Imavov. Plus, the return of "The Natural Born Killer" Carlos Condit!

Bellator got off to a rough start with cancelation of the main event due to Paul Daley's weight cutting issues but the once again the ladies stepped up and stole the show. Denise Kielholtz landed the big finish and the entire card was full of finishes! The Europe card over the weekend had some interesting moments as well.

We also took a look at how Bellator can do a better job of marketing and drawing viewers, making stars and competing with UFC. The fighters have choices, not just UFC or Bellator. The indy fighters can make a name all over the world.

Unfortunately, our advertised interview with Anthony Birchak didn't go down but we will be sure to get him back on soon!
