Susan G. Groner is the founder of The Parenting Mentor. This resource works one-on-one with families and corporations that recognize the importance of helping their working parents reduce everyday stress and thrive both at work and home. She is the author of Parenting with Sanity and Joy: 101 Simple Strategies. Additionally, she is the mother of two reasonably well-adjusted grown adults.

Former punk rocker turned politician Beto O’Rourke is the founder of Powered By People, a people-funded and powered organization that organizes volunteers to reach eligible Texas voters to register, vote, and volunteer throughout their communities. In 2005, Beto served on the El Paso City Council, and from 2013 to 2019, he served in the U.S. Congress. In 2018, Beto campaigned for the U.S. Senate seat - narrowly losing to Republican Ted Cruz - before setting his sights on the 2020 U.S. Presidential election. Today, Beto focuses his passion and energy on Powered By People, which is currently helping millions of people across Texas that have been significantly impacted by the 2021 winter storm to gain access to food, water, shelter, and transportation.

In this episode, Dayna talks with Susan Groner about her parenting journey and how to parent your children. Susan explains why it's essential to ask your children questions and allow them to explore their interests instead of yours.
