The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the music industry. From concert venues canceling shows to bars and restaurants closing their doors to the public, musicians and band artists have really struggled to keep the music flowing and reaching their audiences. Alexia Erlichman is on a mission to help musicians, songwriters, and band artists get their music heard, despite the pandemic and global economy.

Alexia is the owner of Music Gorilla, the world’s leading commercial marketplace for independent musicians. Music Gorilla helps artists connect with people that can truly make a difference in their careers, including key players in the television, movies, advertising, and gaming industries as well as music labels. After graduating from The High School of Performing Arts as a Vocal Major, Alexia followed her passion for the performing arts and attended New York University. While obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Business/Producing from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Alexia interned for commercial production companies and entertainment companies like Miramax. She is passionate about helping artists get new opportunities and achieve success in their music careers.

Alexia joins me today to share how Music Gorilla helps artists worldwide get their music heard and opens the doors to new commercial opportunities for their music. We discuss how she pivoted her career from working in the TV and film industry to the music industry. We explain why musicians should focus on honing their craft and engaging with their audience during the COVID pandemic and the importance of building your fanbase organically instead of buying social media followers. We also discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed more people to unleash their inner creativity and how you can play a key role in helping musicians and artists thrive through the global pandemic.

“If you’re an established musician working within these conditions, the best thing to do is continue to hone your craft.” - Alexia Erlichman
