"The Time Traveler's Wife" is a beautifully transcendent film about letting go of expectations and opening to a higher perspective. In this audio, David gives a pre-movie talk which lasts until 10 minutes and 26 seconds. At this point we recommend you watch the movie (which you can rent on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBofCCt6_Q8), then resume the audio to listen to David's after-movie commentary and questions from the audience.

The Time Traveler's Wife
The partnership in this movie is one in which expectations are constantly being undone. To the ego it is jolting when a partner keeps disappearing and in this movie it can happen at any time. Any sense of desiring a normal (special) relationship leads to disappointment and the only way to look upon it all is from the perspective of opening up to a love that transcends time, space and bodies entirely.

Time is simultaneous. The main character is moving through time and experiences different parts of his life in the dream and his Holy Relationship. His wife has to learn to forgive and not to have any expectations whatsoever for spending time with her husband. There are no exceptions to the forgiveness. Wedding days are no more special than other days and at the end it needs to be seen that you are always joined with Spirit, beyond the form and appearances of bodies.
