Today on the final edition of The Daily Brief, it's all over except for the final ballot count determining who will lead the Conservative Party of Canada. Post Media columnist Brian Lilley joins the podcast to offer insights on how this process has and will play out.
The final result will be announced on Saturday, September 10 and, based on reports that more than 400 thousand ballots have been cast, Pierre Poilievre is expected to be declared the winner.
But what will that mean for the party moving forward? Conservatives haven't been all that patient with their leaders since Stephen Harper's tenure ended in 2015.
