DaTakeOver sits down with J Lyric to discuss the beginning of his rap career, growth as an artist, and the meaning of his latest project entitled Loyalty Over Love. J Lyric’s main influences were 2 Pac and Nas. He admits to writing his first songs over Pac’s beats and aimed to make timeless music.He learned promotional strategies and collaborated with NOLA’s legendary UNLV, linked with Tru Records’ C-Murder, and has collaborated with MMG’s Rick Ross.
