Servus und Herzlich Willlkommen! Hello and Welcome to Das Fan-Erlebnis Podcast! My name is Fritz Baldauf, and I am the host and creator of this podcast series, and a diehard German-American sports fan and aspiring sports journalist from the Bay Area. This series covers the differences in sports business and fan culture between the German Bundesliga (the top division of German soccer) and professional American sports such as the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. This series is the culmination of a months long research project for which I have conducted interviews with many fans of the sports concerned, important figures involved with the teams and leagues, and several media members as well. If you're interested in a deeper dive into some of the key structural and cultural differences of German soccer (and European soccer as a whole) I strongly suggest you give my podcast series a listen! I hope that you enjoy it, and if you do, please pass it on to your friends! Dankeschön!
