In 1947 on an otherwise unassuming day in Texas City, Texas, citizens would wake up to start their day like any other. Brewing coffee, getting ready for work or school, and planning for their activities. Until out of nowhere, a massive explosion would be heard, and in an instant, 581 people would lose their lives in one of the most massive non-nuclear disasters in history.
