Since antiquity, we have regarded the darkness as something to be feared, often a tangible representation of the unknown, of death itself. Today, we see the dark as merely the absence of light, banishing it from our lives with the flick of a switch. Have we truly conquered the dark, or are we just using the light to hide what still lurks in waiting?
