Today we are going to give you a bird’s-eye-view of what’s going on in the Dallas/Fort Worth market and the surrounding areas.

Everyone is always asking us whether we are in a buyer’s or seller’s market. I can tell you for certain, today, that we are 100% in a seller’s market. We have extremely low inventory and huge demand from buyers.

If you’ve been interested in selling your home for a while, how does this affect you? Well, right now, your home is going to be worth a lot. We have seen price increases of up to 15% in the last few years. If you want to cash in on that equity, now is a great time to sell.

What does this mean for buyers? Yes, it’s going to be a little more competitive when looking for a home. However, you also have the advantage of historically low interest rates. If they were to rise just a single percentage point, your affordability would be affected by 10%! That is a huge decrease in buying power. If you are out buying in this market, you’ve got to be aggressive and decisive, because inventory is low.
