#1 – From WV ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT – From steel Bessemer converters in the 1880s to 3-D printers today, metals have long been an essential component in West Virginia’s flourishing manufacturing industry. The state has forged strong links between our abundant raw materials, skilled metalworking labor force, and supportive business climate.

West Virginia has ready supplies of primary and fabricated metals, machinery and other components necessary for the manufacturing of metalworking and machinery products.

The state is at the heart of more than 4,000 regional suppliers of needed materials and home to thousands of skilled production and craft workers, particularly metalworking machinery operators, metal fabricators and machine assemblers.

#3 – From THE TRAVEL – Few hikes provide lasting memories quite like those taken at sunset. Evening hikes can provide a level of peace and tranquility that can be harder to come by earlier in the day.

West Virginia's New River Gorge National Park & Preserve features some of the best spots to view both sunrises and sunsets anywhere east of the Mississippi.

Hikers who want to get a great view of the sun setting over the gorge will want to flock to one of the park’s westward-facing lookouts. Fortunately for hikers looking for a less strenuous hike, one of the best of these west-facing lookouts lies along the accessible Endless Wall Trail

While the Endless Wall Trail's 3.2 miles are worth the hike, the real centerpiece of the trail is the Diamond Point Overlook, which offers an expansive, breathtaking view of the New River Gorge and the surrounding mountains.
