Powell testified before the House of Representatives yesterday and said “It’s all good”. And the Nasdaq made a new record high.

Here's what is happening in the markets today, Wednesday, June 23rd.

U.S. stock index futures are flat this morning after the Nasdaq hit an all-time high yesterday,

And this morning, futures markets are pointing to a slightly higher start again.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell testified before the House of Representatives yesterday and reiterated that inflation pressures will be temporary.

But Crude Oil (CL) is trading above $73 per barrel. 

Flash Manufacturing PMI will be released today.

Bitcoin staged an impressive comeback yesterday after dipping below $30,000.  But bitcoin ultimately recouped all of the more than 11% loss and finished the session in positive territory.

MicroStrategy (MSTR) rallied 4.4% in premarket trading, trading in sync with the price of bitcoin. The business analytics company holds several billion dollars worth of bitcoin and took advantage of the recent price drop to buy more.

Microsoft (MSFT) became the second company to surpass a $2 trillion market value, achieving that mark during Tuesday’s session. Apple (AAPL), currently worth $2.2 trillion, was the first. Amazon's (AMZN) market cap of $1.8T and Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) $1.7T.

And Peloton PTON) gained after launching a corporate program to court B2B clients.
