The Luck! The very day we hoped to hear Joan McCarter talking about the latest on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, she found herself too busy writing about the latest on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. David Waldman and we carry on without Joan today, but boy will she have some stories next week!

Judge Jackson is naturally above this nonsense she is being subjected to, but Republicans are not above delivering it to her anyway. Josh Hawley wanted to catch Ketanji Brown Jackson's reaction to some porn questions. Clarence Thomas had a couple anecdotes concerning Coke cans but was unable to relay them to Hawley as he remains a bit under the weather. Lindsey Graham, one of the most sensitive people on the planet, is nonetheless impervious to be called a racist. Donald Trump probably has something stupid, insulting, and threatening to say about the judge, but he’d rather stick to those effected by his guff.

Will “BA.2” be the most bad-ass COVID wave? We are as ready as we’ll ever be, which is to say not ready at all. If we could be less ready, we’d make that happen, although it sounds like more of a commitment than most would be willing to make.

It’s been weeks since those Ottawa Truckers took their crap out of Canada down to Hagerstown to fight Antifa and make some citizen’s arrests.  The Krazy Karen Konvoy have been feeling kind of below par lately.  It’s not just the freedom-hating DC residents getting them down, though. It’s cough… cough… “complex”. They aren’t cartoons, they’re people, think pieces will remind us.

People like their kid’s teachers, but don’t like the ones they imagine others have. People who know only imaginary teachers have a low opinion of teachers.

Eric Greitens resigned from his position as Missouri governor after he was discovered to be an awful person and indicted criminal. He’s running for Senator, and Eric’s ex-wife had to remind people that Eric remains an awful person and a criminal. Josh Hawley would never allow such things if he were Senator.

Russian oligarchs are like lazy Bond villains. Vladimir Putin is more like a cheugy psychotic henchman, an attitude that rubs off on his followers. Donald Trump knows how he’d handle Putin, and believe me, it sure would be something.
