Sure, it’s Trump Surrender Week, but should remind ourselves that the rest of the world has its own priorities. For example, the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief. Now that’s a mouthful!

Trump’s set to ruin my birthday present, by turning himself in a day early. On top of that, he’s skipping the Republican debate to go on white nationalist “TV”. Best guess: he wants no oxygen left for debate night or the day after.

Online betting is off and running on the surrender. Are they actually going to weigh him, too? They’re running an over-under on it, so… maybe? (Current line: 278.5 lbs.)

In other surrender news, he’s gonna have to post bail. At least some, anyway.

Oh, hey… what about that thing where Mark Meadows was attempting to remove his case to federal court? What’s that all about?

And if you’re still puzzled (or just annoyed) by Trump apologists disingenuously claiming things like, “Oh, so now calling a Secretary of State on the phone is a crime?!” then it’s time for a little (read: a lot of) discussion about the definition and role of “overt acts” in a conspiracy, and in a conspiracy indictment.
