User experience research (UX) when done in the same team as delivery is a nice way to go. User Interface(UI) work is only a subset for UX. If your UX folks are only producing UI widgets, someone has "lost the plot". Check out David Denham's article at https://medium.com/@daviddenham07/dua... .   But how does UX/discovery work on a Kanban Board? Work items should not move right to left; there are only two exceptional cases where that is valid. After all, UX is never finished, and learning is the 1st citizen.
