Mike Darter is first and foremost a dad to three awesome daughters. However, aside from that he is the Co-Founder and CEO of CCW Safe, which is a legal service defense plan that takes on the burden of the expenses associated with defending a self-defense or use of force critical incident. Mike was a police officer in Oklahoma City from 1991-2001 and a federal contractor for the DOJ from 2001-2011. During his career, Mike investigated and testified in hundreds of violent crimes, including shootings, homicides and other violent felony crimes. Mike was involved in a shooting as a police officer and went through a lawsuit from that shooting. The lawsuit was later dismissed, but his experience is what led to the creation of CCW Safe.

Mike is also a professional nature and wildlife photographer. He travels all over the world and captures amazing shots while being out in nature with wildlife. He has been studying photography for nearly 40 years and he leads wildlife photography adventures in places like Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Alaska for the past 6 years with Aaron's Photo Tours based out of Seattle.

In our interview Mike speaks to how he has raised his girls and continues to guide them to be kind and caring young ladies. However, he has also taught them how to protect themselves with this experience as a police officer and his skills at Judo. He loves spending time with his girls and wouldn't trade the role as a dad for anything.
