This episode covers topics  surrounding childhood hobbies. We discuss examples of what inspired us to start some of our hobbies including parents, school, scouts and even television. We discuss some of the good things that came from our hobbies. We also discuss some of the bad things around doing hobbies like not knowing enough to get started, inability to overcome difficulties, motivation to maintain a hobby, and reasons why we didn’t continue our hobby into adulthood. We surprise ourselves when we realize what lessons from our childhood hobbies carried over into adulthood. This carries over into a discussion about what hobbies that we did as kids that we still do as adults. Hobbies discussed included insect, coin and clock collections, sewing, and art. We also discover that some of our childhood interests that we never considered to be hobbies were, in retrospect, hobbies! This enjoyable discussion of hobbies is definitely a fun journey into a fun part of understanding our childhood interests and activities.
