Mike takes us behind the curtain and into the locker room, literally, as he talks about the upcoming 16th season beginning October 11. Then, we travel back to Mike's childhood and learn about growing up in Minnesota and what finally brought him to Rockford to become the voice of Rockford hockey. After that, we head into to the UHL days and talk past IceHogs teams, coaches, travel stories, and even the storybook ending to a season and era with the winning of a Championship! Mike goes in depth about the drama surrounding the Rockford IceHogs final season in the UHL, the transition to the AHL with tons of pushback from fans, and becoming the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks.
