Goals should not be random. Goals are meant to improve something and should be based on a measurement of that improvement. The measurement is a metric that indicates incremental success or failure toward the goal.
If increasing revenue is the goal, increasing client cases is one potential way to meet the bigger goal. To increase client cases increasing client case leads will be necessary and that success can be measured by counting phone rings, website form fills, social media content consumption on the last mile client journey.
Measuring the minor detail of the incremental goal will help you reach the ultimate goal.
