Dean has worked professionally in the industry for over 40 years. He has been Head of Acting at three of the most prestigious acting schools in Australia, producing many of Australia’s best and most sought-after actors on the national and international scene.

His deep insights into the craft of theatre has led to the publication of 4 books: The Actor’s Audition Manual (1985), Masterclass (1995), and The Acting Edge (2012). His new book, The Artist’s M.A.P. will be published by World Scientific Publishing in 2019.
