In todays episode we are talking with Andrew Chapman LMSW, a meditation teacher and director at Wild Heart Meditation in Nashville, TN. Within the last few years, Andrew has received his master's degree in Social Work as an addictions and mental health counselor. Andrew also graduated from a 2.5-year Community Dharma Leadership training through Spirit Rock Meditation Center, where he received authorization to teach. Andrew’s personal and professional work have been supported through intensive training and educational curriculums related to mindfulness-based stress reduction, dialectical behavioral therapy, and Buddhist practice.

This week’s discussion is around the connection between therapy and Buddhism. Andrew has a fascinating way of approaching these two categories of healing. Andrew brings his beliefs about what mental health really means, how suffering is normal, and suicidal ideation isn’t that uncommon. We also dig into meditation and how he approaches it as a Buddhist practitioner and teacher. This week is all about the MIND, so get ready!
