1) Dan Morehead, CEO of Blockchain-focused hedge fund Pantera Capital, named Bitcoin’s (BTC) bottom price and predicted BTC would go past its record high within a year in an interview on CNBC’s Fast Money Wednesday, April 18. Morehead, whose company returned 25,000 percent in 2017 when Bitcoin hit $20,000, said that $6,500 was the low for the recent bear market, and presented it as an investment opportunity

2) Electric vehicle charging station in the Netherlands is now using IOTA’s Tangle technology for feeless machine-to-machine communication. ElaadNL, a solar- and wind power- fueled smart-charging initiative by the Dutch grid operators, has teamed up with IOTA for the maiden DLT-fueled charging station for electric vehicles.

3) Major Chinese exchange Huobi recently announced that they would be including Cardano’s ADA cryptocurrency on their site. Huobi is the largest exchange in the Chinese cryptocurrency sphere, placing second globally. Market val $1 billion USD.

4) Cambridge Analytica was planning to raise money by issuing a digital currency prior to becoming involved in a scandal regarding the misuse of data from Facebook, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters April 17.Sources say that Cambridge Analytica had consulted with a firm that advises companies on how to structure Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). 

5) Australia may not be one of the biggest markets for Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies, but it is a growing one. As it stands, Australia is ranked 14th globally for BTC volume by currency. At time of publishing, the Australian dollar (AUD) saw volumes of AUD $2,810,190, or 276 BTC over a 24 hour period.To put that in perspective, Japan sits on top, with a 60 percent dominance, processing 30,1404 BTC over 24 hours.
