Hello, I am Joel Ingram, and this is "Crisis to Crushin' It" Podcast.

Let’s dive into this week’s talk, and help to:

1. Increase perspective.

2. Expand perception.

3. Allow you to change your reality.

Jason Palmer is a husband to one woman, father to 7 kids, dad to a couple dozen more. He is also a blacksmith, truck driver, veteran, and part time (and completely unqualified) psychologist, and now Podcaster!

I asked him to come on today to share his journey that he and his wife have dedicated themselves to.

The intent of the podcast is to “Tell real and personal stories, provide perspective, and to support Foster families in their endeavour to help kids and their bio families find permanency in the healthiest possible way.”

Right now, he is on a road of self-discovery. Attempting to find the best version of himself, so that he can lead his own children to a place where they can find meaning in their own lives.

Within the space of 9 months he witnessed the death of his father AND daughter, which he is learning to process. He has a deep and abiding sense of sadness and quiet that visits him from time to time. He has a sense that from tragedy will emerge a greater meaning.

He believes failure is not an option. You either succeed or learn how to do it better, and sometimes the latter is the better of the two options.

In his journey as a foster family he has witnessed the suffering of innocent children. Horrific suffering, that would turn any adult into a bitter, angry soul - and these young souls have shown a resilience beyond anything he thought possible.
