On Halloween of 1975, 15 year old Martha Moxley was found in her own yard, beaten to death. The town’s police force had not investigated a murder since 1949. With a shaky investigation, it wouldn’t be until 2002 that a conviction would be secured. The man found guilty was Michael Skakel, Martha’s neighbor who was also 15 at the time of the murder. But the conviction would only stand for a decade before a successful appeal brought us back to square 1 and the question--who killed Martha Moxley--was being asked again.
