Looking beyond the veneer of ordinary life and love : Nikki Dolson

I first discovered US crime author Nikki Dolson on Twitter. Twitter is actually quite a great space for discovering authors and I followed Nikki’s tweets and got curious about her work. I’m so glad I did. Her book of short stories Love and Other Criminal Behaviour delves into the ​​many different ways to love and the many ways to end up dead. Another thing that attracted me to Nikki’s writing is that she has a fascination with contract killers and has a story about a complicated hit woman in an anthology called Dead-end Jobs.

Nikki tells me about her life in Las Vegas, why she finds contract killers fascinating (we bond over our mutual love of John Wick) and the support and importance of the association Crime Writers of Color.
