When high school teacher Tara Grinstead vanishes without a trace in October 2005, nobody could have anticipated the years-long mystery that would surround her disappearance. After leaving a friend’s barbecue on the evening of October 22, Tara was never seen or heard from again. With every discovery in the case only leading to more questions than answers, a slew of clues, tips and possible suspects makes for a missing persons case unlike any other. This wild story has a ton of twists and turns (even a few red herrings!) and highlights the power of a podcast- an investigation into the case in season one of the acclaimed “Up and Vanished” podcast led to a break in the investigation 12 years later, and ultimately an arrest.
