On this episode of Credit “Eco” to Go, attorney Alane Becket, the immediate past president of the American Bankruptcy Institute, discusses the new Subchapter V of Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, which will be a lifeline for small businesses struggling to survive the COVID-19 crisis. Alane and I also explore the new realities in the consumer bankruptcy space. While consumer filings are down by 50% from last year, it is expected that upon the exhaustion of stimulus monies, consumers will seek relief through the bankruptcy process.
