The art of gratitude has been around for centuries. Gratitude has a history across many religions too.

Gratitude is the quality of being thankful; the readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Research is showing that when you have gratitude, you are a happier person. Your emotional state is more stable. Therefore, your mindset is healthier.

Dr. Rick Hanson, who wrote Hardwiring Happiness, writes "studies show that cultivating them [gratitude and gladness] has lasting and important benefits, including lifting your mood, increasing satisfaction with life and building resilience".

How can you use the art of gratitude to elevate your life?

The K.I.S.S. ~ Utilitze the art of gratitude in your life!

Be grateful for what happens on a daily basis (i.e., sunrise/sunset, snuggles with your sweetheart, giggles of children, playing ball withyour puppy, etc.). Have gratitude saturate and engulf your being. You want it to be apart of you from your noes to toes. You make a conscious effort to be grateful. In times of sorrow and disappointment, you search for the "sprinkles of gratitude". Go on a treasure hunt. Let go of the negative which is so prominent; and gravitate towards your "sprinkles of gratitude".

If you want to live a fulfilling life with joy, contentment, hope and love, the art of gratitude must in your life.

You must be kind because you can be, not just because you want to be.

Gratitude is a way of serving others and lifting them up with your words and actions. It's a selfless act of kindness.

Make the art of gratitude a daily practice in your life.
