Often I'm challenged by my children. They ask some really tough questions. And even though I've homeschooled, I definitely do not have all the answers. In fact, my children are usually more spot on with facts verses experience.
History Mathematics ScienceWhen you're not recalling the information frequently, you're gonna get a little rusty.
When I said the wrong answer, my son said, "You don't have to know it all. It's ok, Mom."
That doesn't make you less of a mom or a woman! We don't have to know all the answers.
Why is it that we feel like we do?
Disappointment Rejection AshamedThe problem is, when you don't know the answer, you are putting not only yourself in a dangerous situation; but you are not teaching your children (or whomever you're speaking with), how to handle failure, lack of knowledge, and being wrong.
So what do you do when you don't know the answer?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Get the facts straight!
Don't cover up. Don't act like you know the answer. Be honest and upfront about not knowing. Go gain the knowledge. Share your experience. Be YOU!!!Once you have decided and committed, then you can continue to plan, prep and finally take A.I.M.
Don't fall into the excuses of someone or something else.
