Welcome to episode 4 of Crate Diggers!

This is a special episode dedicated to one of my favorite artists, J Dilla. As Portland became a frozen tundra prowled by packs of Siberian wolves, me and my Jeep kept my dad’s adventurous spirit alive and took to the snowy streets. On one particularly icy evening, Tope* and I were supposed to perform at the Hawthorne Theatre in Portland opening for Sol from Seattle and Zion I from The Bay, however the show was postponed for another day. So to turn a negative to a positive, we got together, along with an artist by the name of Blossom and we played our favorite Dilla related records and discussed Tope’s early talent show triumphs.
