Announced this week on February 17th, the University President Bill Flanagan confirmed that the university as of February 28th would be suspending its Vaccine Directive.

In the update Mr.Flanagan pointed to the high effectiveness of the directive, with 97% of students and 99 percent of staff being fully vaccinated.

Personal Health Checks will now replace the directive, as well as face masks continuing to be required across all indoor shared campus spaces.

Also coming this week will be a special edition of YouAlberta newsletter that will include resources and stories aimed at helping you prepare for your return to campus. It will be released this Tuesday, February 22nd.
