Want to know what the latest user experience (UX) trends that you can expect to start affecting your eCommerce store in 2020 will be?
Well, you’ll want to tune into this 5th episode of the season and listen as Guido chats with entrepreneur, speaker and strategist, Taylor Trusty, about his upcoming presentation, on this very topic.
Why is Taylor best placed to discuss future UX trends? A self-confessed computer nerd, he’s a tech person who’s really into business and technology, and over time has evolved into an entrepreneur.
Currently co-founder of the software company in the competitive intelligence space, Signal Insights, founder of consulting firm around usability, Trusty Index, and a board member of Entrepreneurs' Organization NYC, Taylor co-founded his first eCommerce company when he left high school, selling that to start a digital marketing agency that he sold in the summer of 2018.
So what can we learn from the latest UX trends?
Taylor shares 10 trends in all with listeners:
Amazon wielding its influence with its own label.
Build comparison tools so that your customers can easily compare the products on your website using the language that the customer actually cares about.
Credit card information requirements - don’t use words, just numbers.
Coupon promo code boxes at checkout - hide them to keep users in checkout flow.
Don’t annoy your visitors with chat pop up boxes, or unsubscribe boxes that don’t work.
Ensure the returns process provides a fluid experience to the user.
Remove the default second address line and make it optional for the 10% of users who actually need it.
Don’t have multiple column forms, especially if your website isn’t mobile responsive.
Ensure your product descriptions are real rockstars if you want to increase your conversion rates.
Group texts - these can be a real business opportunity for B2B e commerce businesses.
