Each week BusinessDesk and the NZ Herald’s Cooking the Books podcast tackles a different money problem. Today, it’s how a couple retired early for more family time. Hosted by Frances Cook.
Retiring early while your kids are still young enough to actually want to hang out with you? A dream, surely.
Well this couple managed it, through a combination of property investing, and very frugal living, hitting their goal number in their early 30s.
They don’t feel as though they missed out on life though, far from it – so here’s what they decided to keep and cut, as they raced to early retirement.
For the latest podcast I talked to Aleisha Rutherford.
