Loretta Ross is a Visiting Associate Professor at Smith college in the Program for the Study of Women and Gender. She was an organizer through groups such as: the National Organization for Women (NOW), the National Black Women’s Health Project, the Center for Democratic Renewal (National Anti-Klan Network), the National Center for Human Rights Education, and SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective.  She retired from organizing in 2012 to teach about activism. She has co-authored a number of books, including "Reproductive Justice: An Introduction" and "Radical Reproductive Justice: Foundations, Theory, Practice, Critique".  Her current book, "Calling In the Calling Out Culture" is forthcoming in 2021.
