This is Convo By Design with designer, showroom owner and furniture maker, Leslie Shapiro Joyal. I met Leslie at the Wattles Mansion Showcase house a few years ago. When talking with designers at showhouses, much of the topic of conversation is the house itself, understandably so because the goal is to learn all about the space before it’s gone. At the same time, for quite some time, I have been wanting to circle back with Leslie to talk about her design, the showroom and her furniture.

We met at the the PDC a while back and had the chance to get caught up. In addition to the business, we spoke about reality shows and her experience on Ellen’s Design Challenge. It was a learning experience for Leslie, you are going to hear why.
